The ‘Get Back’ sessions of January 1969, later handed to Phil Spector after Glyn Johns’ fly-on-the-wall mixes were rejected. Issued after the split, with Spector’s orchestral overdubs on ‘The Long and Winding Road’ becoming a flashpoint.
Territorial note
Let It Be… Naked (2003) strips Spector’s orchestration and restores a different take of ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ into the running order. The original UK box included a Get Back paperback.
